Portable or Handheld Digital Oscilloscope
Are you associated with electronics or field service work then you probably can’t live without a hand-held oscilloscope. If you don’t yet have one you’ll wonder how you survived without it after you get your first. Today you can get analog to digital converters that can collect data an order of magnitude faster than ever in this century. These handheld oscilloscopes are extremely portable and durable in order to survive your toolbox.
Oscilloscopes are commonly used to observe the exact wave shape of an electrical signal. In addition to the amplitude of the signal, an oscilloscope can show distortion, the time between two events (such as pulse width, period, or rise time) and relative timing of two related signals.
“Portable Digital Oscilloscope — Changing the face of field testing”
Oscilloscopes are used in the sciences, medicine, engineering, and telecommunications industry. General-purpose instruments are used for maintenance of electronic equipment and laboratory work. Special-purpose oscilloscopes may be used for such purposes as analyzing an automotive ignition system, or to display the waveform of the heartbeat as an electrocardiogram. A Portable or Handheld Digital oscilloscope can capture event that occurs only once. It is able to process and store waveform information to be viewed later. It is able to send information to computers and other devices to perform analysis and many other. The simplest form of this type of oscilloscope is consisted of six parts. They are analog vertical input amplifier, analog-to-digital converter and digital waveform memory, triggering and clock drive, circuits, LCD or LED screen, and power supply.
They truly are a piece of equipment that is an investment which pays for itself several times over. Handheld oscilloscopes are made possible by today’s every increasing electronics capability. Portable oscilloscopes are mostly used in field troubleshooting applications from electrical and electro-mechanical to electronic and industrial control systems. Digital storage oscilloscope, are the rugged, reliable scope for field service professionals. As they come with advantages like low cost, high performance, light weight, they will definitely replace the years old heavy weight oscilloscopes in a short span of time. Oscilloscopes have transformed from a voltage measuring box into a versatile instrument. Research has been carried out to speed up the working on complex high-speed patterns of signals. Just like other industries where innovations in software technologies have contributed to better growth, use of software. In oscilloscope industry is taking oscilloscope to altogether higher platform making it user-friendlier.

How To Choose A Good Digital Video Camcorder

Digital video camcorders nowadays made editing and shooting movies an easy task for everybody. Just ten years ago, people had limited options, but not anymore! When you decide to buy one, you find shops flooded with different models for digital camcorders produced by different manufacturers, and each one with a huge array of formats and features. But the difficult part is choosing the right one for your needs and budget. The next sections intend to help you decide through the models and to help you select some digital cameras that suits your needs the most. So, what camcorder type to choose from: There are two types of camcorders, analog and digital, and digital camcorders are more popular today. Analog camcorders became too hard to use, they are complicated and hard to handle. So, the analog models become replaced quickly. Recording information digitally onto a tape or onto a DVD or even hard disk, then repeatedly playing the videos without loss of quality represent major pluses for digital camcorders. Also, they render excellent quality, clarity and color for the videos having 500 lines of resolution, which makes the shooting videos usingdigicams irresistible. Next thing to think about are key features: Screen Size. Basically, the bigger the screen size is, the more you see from what you record. But, it will also drain your battery faster. So, if you want to shoot frequently under bright sunlight, the viewfinder proves more helpful in helping the battery life. There are different sizes for screens that you can choose from: 2.4 to 2.7 inches, 1.8 to 2.4 inches, 3 inches to 3.5 inches, and so on. Zoom: There are optical and digital zooms available and most of the camcorders have them both. Digital zoom basically enlarges your image, in the sense that it magnifies actual pixels in order to achieve maximum zoom. But the final image becomes grainy at some parts and also lacks definition. This phenomenon is calledpixelation , the blurring of picture because of enlargement. However, most camcorders can turn this option off. Different than digital zoom, optical zooms uses physical movement of the lens mechanism. Thus the focal length for the lens changes so the whole image that crosses the lens gets captured with the optical zoom. This is much more preferred. Higher optical zooms give better quality of the image. Batteries: The LCD monitor consumes large amounts of energy, so it drains the battery life quickly. A high capacity battery is recommended to keep your camcorder working when you record those important moments in your life. The best ones are rechargeable batteries. Lithium ion batteries perform better as they can charge quicker and are lighter that the. So make sure that before you invest your money in one camcorder, you check out that camcorder and how good it suits the needs you have. If youwant quality and high resolution, but also flexible digital editing, spend more money. More money would get you more features and so better quality videos. Also study reviews of models and their key specifications; they are very helpful in making your final choice. Some popular brands include: Sony, Canon, Panasonic,JVC.

A lot of folks spend most of their money on a camera and then use what little is left over to buy whatever lens they can afford. This is a big mistake. It’s like being a great chef and cooking with the worst ingredients. Low quality or unsuitable lenses can ruin the photos taken from a great camera and top quality lenses can make even photos taken with no-so-great cameras look good.

One of the most photographed scenes in the world is the beach scene. The reason is that (a) the locale is beautiful by nature, (b) people are usually relaxed and having fun and are not “stiff” and (c) a combination of the first two reasons. This means that beach photography can be either landscape or portrait photography or a combination of both.

Digital Photography – Simple Tricks
The thing about digital cameras is that they are so easy to use. Everything from the most basic point and shoot to the most advanced D-SLRs have an “auto” function where the camera does everything except actually pushing the shutter button. But this is not always the best way to get great photos. In the end it’s not what the camera sees but what the photographer tells it to see that counts. So here are a few tips on getting great photos with your digital camera.

Why photograph insects? Because:
• 75% of living creatures on the planets fall into the insect category
• They can often be fascinating subjects with great natural beauty
• The “ugh” factor the insects inspire in most people prevents us from having a close up look at the real thing.

Editing Your Own Pictures On The Pc
Make sure you have some good image work flow before you start with editing. It means that you need to save the originals in another separate place in order to prevent destroying or damaging the original image. Also, get familiar with the program’s UNDO characteristic – usually Ctrl-Z is a shortcut for this, and will undo the latest image change.

Tripods – The Photographer’S Best Friends
What a tripod is doing is to create a very stable platform that the camera you have can use and allow you to take long exposures and not have the risk that the camera will shake and spoil the picture you take. Of course, you could just rest the camera somewhere, but with the help of the tripod, you could lock the camera in any position and you dont have to be afraid that the camera will fall over.

Notice the Bandwidth When Using Digital Oscilloscope
Digital oscilloscope has unique features like waveform triggering, storage, display, measurement, waveform data analyzing and processing and so on, whose usage is increasingly popular. As there is a big difference between the performance of digital oscilloscopes and virtual oscilloscopes, if used improperly, it will lead to a large measurement error and affect the test tasks, so we must pay more attention to the bandwidth. First let’s learn the differences of them.
Bandwidth is the most important indicator of the oscilloscope. Virtual oscilloscope has a fixed bandwidth, while that of digital one can be divided into virtual and digital real-time.
For repetitive signals using sequential sampling or random sampling techniques, digital oscilloscopes can achieve a maximum bandwidth that is the real-time one. The highest digital real-time bandwidth and frequency and waveform reconstruction of K-related factors (the bandwidth = high rate / K), are generally not given directly as an indicator. From their definition,we can see that virtual bandwidth is only suitable for repeated measurement of periodic signals, while the other one is suitable for signals and single signal measurement. Manufacturers claim the bandwidth of the oscilloscope can reach how much megabyte. However, they refer to analog bandwidth. Digital real-time one is less.
Therefore, when you choosing a digital oscilloscope, you should not believe the description about the bandwidth by manufactures as they refer to analog bandwidth. Especially, when measure a single signal, we must refer to the bandwidth of the oscilloscopes, or unexpected errors will occur during measurement.
youroscilloscope.com offers all kinds of digital oscilloscopes for you to wholesale. Other practical oscilloscopes are provided with cheap price as well.
